Photoshop Phriday: Jordan Kovacs
After a few weeks away from the gridiron I wanted to return to some recent Michigan football players who hadn’t gotten the Bakers & Best treatment. Dedicated readers will recall my comments on Jordan Kovacs about a year and a half ago. For those of you needing a refresher, Kovacs was one of several dozen students (yours truly included) to attend an open tryout for the football team in 2008. Kovacs not only made the team but would become a four year starter and captain; he now plays for the Miami Dolphins.
In 2012 Kovacs switched from the #32 jersey pictured above to #11, a previously retired number in honor of the three Wistert brothers who played for Michigan in the mid 20th century. In 2009 and 10 Kovacs was one of Michigan’s few defensive bright spots. He was selected as the team’s MVP in 2012 and there is no doubt his skilled interception of this blueberry-orange bread influenced the voting. Shortly after this picture was taken Kovacs rushed toward the sideline to share with his teammates.
