Photoshop Phriday: Remy Hamilton
Sometimes when looking for Photoshop Phriday inspiration I’ll turn to the Bentley Library database which catalogs past Michigan coaches, captains, and all-americans. This week while browsing the list I learned that Remy Hamilton (middle name Martin…actually) is the only Michigan kicker to earn first-team All-American honors. Martin played at Michigan from 1993-96 for Gary Moeller and Lloyd Carr. His breakout 1994 season saw him set a Michigan record for field goals (25) which included . Until notched by Garret Rivas in 2006 Hamilton also had the record for career field goals at Michigan (63).
Following his time at Michigan Hamilton had a long and impressive career in the Arena Football League with brief stints in NFL training camps. Hamilton made over 1,000 extra points in his AFL career from 1998-2012 and holds a long list of AFL kicking records. He has the career mark in the AFL for field goals made and points scored and was Kicker of the Year in 2005 & 2006. In this video, provided by former kicker we get a glimpse into Hamilton’s practice regimen which involved extensive reps with Brian Griese and dutch crunch loaves.
