Maple!
On Friday morning my wife and I brought home the newest addition to our family, Maple! She is a golden retriever and in my humble and completed unbiased opinion is the greatest dog that has been or ever will be (apologies to Daphne and Ginger). This is despite the fact that she has kept us up a great deal the past few nights and requires constant attention. I’m still not a fan of cats, but I now finally understand why there are cat people.
I also don’t understand how people with complicated lives (long commutes, kids, etc.) are able to raise a puppy. I barely consider myself an adult and my wife and I are only able to make this work because she works from home two days a week and I’ll be staying home in the mornings (and can easily come home midday).
But you don’t really care about that, and I don’t blame you. You’re here for the pictures. You’ll find a more constant stream of them on my (social media is so much easier when you have a puppy) but here are a few of my favorites from Maple’s first days with us. I’ll probably substitute more food posts in for Maple posts for a while because a) who doesn’t love this dog and b) I lack the mental energy to do much besides take care of her.
